My kids have a lot of questions. And I don’t have a lot of answers.

Anyone else really struggling with the thought of not having these types of photos to share in a few weeks when school starts?

As a child, I absolutely loved the start of a new school year! Buying all the new supplies and reuniting with all my friends and classmates after summer break.

This year’s not-so-back-to-school looks a lot different from years past…

My kids have a lot of questions.
And I don’t have a lot of answers.
And the few answers I have, just make them feel worse.

“No, I don’t know when you can see your friends again.”
“No, I don’t know when coronavirus will end.”
“No, I don’t know if trick-or-treating is canceled this year.”
(I answer almost daily)

Ugh. The past 152 days and counting have challenged us parents in ways we never could have imagined.

I’m sad for my kids.
I’m sad for me as their mom.

This is simply a mom pointing out how difficult this time is for parents and kids…and if you cannot relate or feel differently, keep scrolling.

If you can relate, I feel for you.
I get it. And you are not alone.
